Digital Media Literacy Video

  1. I agree with the performance based assessment and relish any opportunity my staff opens to their students to show off their learning in student choice presentation. As intimidating as it may seem to a teacher, allowing students to choose increases motivation, interest, retention, exploration, adaptability, and differentiation. Instead of only reflecting at the end, the learner is reflective throughout.
    Thanks for sharing,

  2. Luis,
I'm not sure about all that reading you made me do. I think I would have enjoyed your video more if you told me the information in your own voice or someone else’s voice instead of typing it on the screen.

  3. Luis, I thought it was very well researched. I loved the videos that included the children. I am soon doing a research project dealing with using technology to complement multiple intelligences and to see if this shows growth in the higher reasoning. I am predicting that it will. Deb :)

  4. Your video was presented in a very professional manner. I liked the way that you used a mixture of text, still pictures, and live video. It would be a dream that my system you purchase laptops for iPod-like devices so that they could access digital media more often. I am from a rural area in Georgia and some of my students still do not have computers in the home.
I like that you brought up performance based assessment. Georgia is moving toward that as we speak, so to say. This year I have attended 10 days of workshops getting educators ready for the "Big Switch" I am looking forward to it.
Again Great Job! I should have emailed you for pointers.
